Soft-spoken, hard-hitting..

Born and raised in Brampton, Ontario, Truss found his sound at an early age. At 4 years old, he began singing; at 11, he was writing poetry. By the time he was 16, Truss was writing his own music. Only one year later, Truss would find his true love in music production. A multi-talented musician, Truss not only produces music using programs such as Logic and Pro Tools, but he also plays multiple instruments including piano and drums. As a vocalist, Truss is well-known for providing the soulful, sultry lyrics atop his own melodic and solid production. Truss has been both in front of and behind the scenes, working with artists such as Nicole Chambers, Mighloe, Julian Stephen, Malaika Khadijaa, Imah and his own band, TRP.P. Truss has also produced music for TV shows and documentaries, including Project Susan. His writing and production has afforded him the opportunity to open for artists such as Kehlani, Mumu Fresh and Charlotte Cardin. His inspirations include Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, J. Dilla, Kanye West, 9th Wonder and D'Angelo.
